Cellulite is the term used to describe the dimpled appearance of skin caused by subcutaneous (under the skin) fat protruding through connective tissue. CT is built something like lattice work and some people's are loser or more tightly woven than others, which is why cellulite is more visible on some people than others. The more subcutaneous fat one has, the more prevalent the appearance of cellulite.
Cellulite can be defined as the dimples and bumps that are found on the skin and are typically located around the thighs and buttocks. They occur when the natural structure of your skin is stretched by the fat cells when they grow too large.
