The darkness is still there, you just can't see it! It's like the stars in the sky! Think of it this way: When it is dark and you look up, sometimes you can see stars and they twinkle and make the sky dance with fun little lights. When you wake up you see the trees and flowers and they wave and say hi to you in their way to brighten your day. The sun controls the way your trees and flowers say goodnight and the stars come to say hello. Then, the sun comes back around to greet you the next day. I know I had a hard time believing this too.. but the stars are still up there when you see the trees and flowers and the trees and flowers are still outside when you see the stars! In oval shaped form, we go around the sun and when it's dark at your house, it's light at someone elses! Pretty cool hu? You have great days and sweet dreams! Good of you to ask!

Light doesn't make darkness disappear because it is a case of increased intensity. When light is too low to be seen by the naked eye it is called darkness. Therefore, when one puts on a light, the intensity is increased.
