Help me with deciding to cut my hair? Asian mullet or keep it as it is?

Hello there!
I have medium length-ed hair, which is at my shoulder/ the ends of my bra strap; it looks shorter though __ __ll
My hair is, well at least dyed to be dark brown/ black in the indoors.
I already have my hair layered, the first layer is at my chin, the other two
follow it.

I ADMIRE the Asian mullets/ as some people call it the
'scene/emo' hair style.

My hair is thin. Is that good or bad?
My hair is wavy/straight, mostly straight at the top, and curled/waved ends.
Give me tips, and descriptions?
Give me a GOOD video on YouTube, that actually helps.

Oh, and can I just style it with back combing? Or blow-drying the roots, so it would give a bit of volume? Or do I have to use hairspray, and heat.
Yes, I do realize back combing/teasing ruins hair, but way better than hairspray, and heat for me.

i would not have a mullet i would put layers in it. if you keep it the way it is you can curl it and braid it. i would just keep it the way it is it.

Having the Asian mullet is hard because of it usually only looks good when straightened, meaning you'd have to damage your hair quite often. Also the growing out process takes many years..
