Should I drop out of high school?

Ima sixteen year old boy and I am thinking about dropping out of school. I think i could make good money if i drop out but im not sure. was wondering if anyone could help give me some advice

How do you think you could make good money?
People with degrees generally make more money than those without.
Are you planning on getting apprenticed in a trade such as electrician, mechanic, or contractor?

no, no ,no nononono...I know someone right now that regrets doing it...he is having such a hard time. He is 18 now with a baby. Most jobs theses days require at least a high school diploma or equivalent. If you are having problems talk to your school counselor or parents..I wish you luck. Please stay in school.

No!! You wont make half as much as you possibly could when you get a full time job, and tgeres only 4 years left, unless your going to college..i suggest just sucking it up and getting it over with

You're only thinking short term. You need a career with benefits, security and advancement otherwise you'll be a 46 year old making the same money as the 16 year old beside you.

Think about it..
You're around...24?
You are single.
you have NO job.
Why dont you have a job?
because you lost the other because it closed or something.
You dont have your Diploma nor do you have a GED.
And how are you going to be feeling?
Pretty mad because you quit school.
and what are you going to do about it?
there isnt much because you didnt finish school and cannot easily further your education without graduating..

come on now buddy. one could drop out of school and earn a G.E.D. and jump into college at anytime. the american way is powered by choice. so anyone at anytime can Always Choose to further ones education and better themselves. especially down the road broke sad and depressed cuz he didnt see his mistake of dropping out. but never too late

Definitely not man ur gonna screw up ur whole life its not worth it think about yje future not the moment.Just ask ur self this question where do u see yourself in 10 years with school or without ........

No! You'll regret it try going through high school and see how you're doing! But most jobs require at least a high school equivalent or for a good job go through college! I wish you the best

Yes you should if you are getting abused. There are online classes for high school and college. Get your act together now and know what your next move is going to be. Don't sleep on it. Life is not a dream.

What's your definition of "good money"? 5 bucks an hour isn't good money. Get an education, go to college and get a real job, a career.

What you think is good money today won't be close to enough money to move out of your mom's house. Don't be a quitter. If you quit school you'll always be a quitter.

i hope you asked that question and are really reading these answers. i think if your smart enough too ask that question before dropping out. you belong in school and more of you knows you want to achieve then the less of you wants too fail.. keep ur head up and bang it out. i believe in you

Hey eaglebear23, what job exactly are you doing? If you want to make more money we suggest that you pursue a degree first. Think about how much it would cost later on in your life..just cause you make some money now it does not mean that it would last you for the rest of your life. You can consider attending night school and work while you attend school. A high school dropout makes 40 cents to a dollar than that of a high school graduate. You may think that you would make more money later on but you actually won't. STAY IN SCHOOL!
