As far as can be truthfully established, Mahatma Gandhi never drank his own urine, although many people swear to the contrary. He is confused with Mohandas Gandhi, who openly said that he drank his own urine for what he termed as urine therapy.

Lewdo is correct: Mahatma and Mohandas are the same chap. Mahatma Mohandas Ghandi means: The Great Soul Mohandas Ghandi. India's most famous urine therapy advocate was Prime Minister Morarji Desai. No evidence for Ghandi...everyone confuses the urine drinking because Desai and the Mahatma were very close and struggled together for peaceful Independence.
