I need help doing the split by next week and it is not working. I have been stretching and that is not working. Is there a quicker way?

Do NOT jump off a chair-you could seriously hurt yourself!
There is no quick way, no easy button to push. Being able to do the splits is part hard work & part genetics. Some of us are just plain NOT flexible enuff to be able to do the splits, or backbends. You do your best & if you can't manage the splits by next week, well, you just can't. Its not a life or death matter.

jump off a chair? my sister did it and she could do it

Don't rain it...you'll end up hurting yourself. If you can't do it by next week, then you can't do it. It takes alot of time to change what your body can do. Don't take chances like that.
