Can any one tell me some good things to get rid of stomach pain?

Two years ago my doctor explained to me that i have a disease called chrones disease. It mean that my small intestine is inflamed. it results in serious stomach pain. Last year i was in the hospital for a month because the doctor accidentally punctured my intestine and poisoned me. I went three days in pain without knowing. on the 4th day i decided to go to the hospital. if i had come an hour later i would have died. im all better now but i still sometimes get stomach pains does anyone know what to do them? ( sorry i said so much i just really needed to vent i dont really talk about this that much)

Hi there. As a physician, the first advice I can offer you is to not take any advice from anyone here. Crohns is a debilitating disease and can be life threatening. There is no cure for this....just lifestyle changes and medications to control your flare ups. Common meds are anti-inflammatories such as Sulfasalazine (Azulfidine), Mesalamine (Asacol, Rowasa) and steroids. There are also drugs that supress your immune system. You have to be closely monitored when you take these and there are also substantial side effects. You need to follow up with a Gastroenterologist. For yourself, look up diet modification with Crohns and you can take the first step with that. People on here are not qualified to give you advice. Good luck.

Crohn's is very painful and can really affect your life in the wrong sort of way, I know. But you should know there have been new medications approved for the treatment of Crohn's. Discuss this with your parents and/or family physician (I'm sorry, I have no idea how old you are). Some of your pain probably still has to do with the healing process from the surgery you had to undergo. You may even be forming adhesions, which are thick, sticky, fibrous bands of scar tissue which can put abnormal pressure on organs and muscles. I know how painful that is as well. Again, discuss this with your parents and/or doctor.

Good luck. I know how awful it can be when you have a flare. Be sure to mention your pain so your doctor can help you with this. Usually where there is pain, there is inflammation, so he needs to know. Pain is our body's way of saying, "Hey, you... something's wrong here!".

My friend has crones. She takes medicine but sometimes it flares up. She drinks water when her tummy hurts and stays away from wheat or gluten
