what is the post office motto

Report as

Technically the post office does not have a motto, they adopted one from previous works. The creed that is on many post office buildings actually comes from an ancient work written by Herodotus. He was describing the the Greek expedition against the Persians in 500 B.C., directed by Cyrus. It was the Persians who had developed the system of mounted postal couriers and the motto written by Herodotus was describing their pride and honor in which they were doing their work.
