Ok Soo I am back asking questions about religions! I need to know about Buddhism... i have no idea about the rituals and teachings? Plz help

I need to know about the teachings and the rituals and all the holidays and other things that would be important to know

There's a lot of different kinds. Buddhism was originally philosophy. But like Christianity, it had to develop mystical and "magical" characteristics to gain followers. Still some excellent teachings though. Compared to the bloodstained book.

Buddhism is not really a religion. More of a philosophy. It is actually very scientific and reasonable. The Dalai Lama has produced may books about his "religion". I've read a few. VERY smart man. For a great intro to Buddhist ideas, read The Art of Happiness. You don't have to turn into a Buddhist monk. Just learn about their views on life. I'm an atheist, but if I had to choose something, I'd be Buddhist.

You can be an atheist and Buddhist. They don't have any gods. So atheists can be Buddhists.

The "Ten Baskets of Wisdom" is a book on it I think. They don't worship any gods, although one sect worships the Budda (Siddartha Guatuma) though. They ignored the Hindu caste system.
