Why are there more earthquakes in the Pacific Northwest than in South Dakota? What geographic landforms make this possible?
because two tectonic plates come together right off the coast of California and the Dakotas pretty much sit right in the middle of a plate so they never get quakes
San Andreas Fault only thing I can think of.
The tetonic plates just look up a map of them usually on the edges they rub eachother and send out waves called earthquakes
It's because the plates there move more than the plates located through the central united states
