How do you get someone to stop snooping thur your phone and iPad?

my husband doesn't trust me. when I'm gone he snoops thur all of my things. he made a twitter acct just to tweet ppl who tweets me. he memorized my fb password. he looks at my phone records and it's aggravating and it's pushing me away from him. I love him but I also want to leave.

Okay! You really need to stick up for yourself! Tell him its not okay and if he doesn't stop this will be a problem in your relationship. Tell him he should trust you and that you are a grown woman and hes treating you like a child and unfairly!! Keep your phone with you at all time if he asks to see it tell him no, and that you have the right to have privacy and you don't do this to him. Just be strong! Don't be weak or else you are just an easy target 4 this! I'm sorry, and wish you luck!!

If it's your parent or legal guardian ... since you're their responsibility, you don't.
If it's someone else ... use the "lock" or "password" function on your phone/iPad.

Since you changed the info ...

1 - Change your Facebook password.
2 - Use your phone/iPad's "password" feature.
3 - Remove his twitter account from your "followers", and change your twitter password.

Also ... such behavior is controlling, and is one of the first signs of an abusive relationship. So you need to tell him to quit.

Tell them nicely that you don't like them looking through your stuff, but then again if it is your parents they kind of have a right. But still talk to them.

Lock it/Change password, keep it close or hide it when your not using it. Also tell them straight up and firm to stop. {Unless its dad/mom they have the right to search}

If it is your parents they have a right, but if it isn't they don't. Ask them nicely to stop and if they don't stop make a pass code. Go into settings and then general. The click on lock/pass code. Make your pass code and nobody will get into your phone, i pad, i pod, e.t.c.

Is there a reason he doesn't trust you? I think married people need to be completely open and honest with each other. Is there something on your phone or iPad that he can't or shouldn't see?

good answer.

No I tell him all the time if there's something he wants to see ask. I'm an attractive woman and there is always somebody making comments on my pg or tweeting me. I'm always letting them know I'm married. Then I'm always talking about him on all my social networks.
Report as
Maybe he finds the comments on your social networks regarding your appearance inappropriate.

Then I went as far as deleting all of my social networks. So I don't talk to anybody. I don't like this at all.

Have you tried marriage counseling?

If you have nothing to hide you shouldn't worry. However, everyone needs a bit of privacy. It sounds like you both need to discuss this. His snooping is a sign of distrust and he's looking for something to throw back in your face.

Put a screen lock on your phone and iPad. The fact that you tolerate someone snooping through your personal items is the real problem. By putting up with it you are communicating to the other person that their behavior is acceptable.

It is never okay for someone to go through another person's things, obtain their passwords (change it girl!), read their mail, use their phone, or go through their wallet or purse.

Does that have anything to do with social networks? Agree with answer on this for you.

Just dump his sorry ass. He has no respect for others, is a control freak, does not honor boundaries. He does not care if he violates your privacy. Talking to him clearly has not helped so there is your answer.

How much more does this jerk have to do to prove to you that he is not interested in being a good partner?

This guy has already gone WAY TOO far, stepping on you. It is unlikely that you can "untrain" him after you have already trained him that you will tolerate his outrageous antics. Do you want to live like that the rest of your life? Your situation reminds me of a murder story where the woman married & had children with a guy like yours. Guess what happened? He killed everyone. Don't stick around.

Set up a password, which will make him trust you even less.
