I am installing a steel roof over my 20'x11 1/2 ' deck and would like to know how many screws to put in each panel.

Each panel is 36" wide and 11 1/2" long.

Since it is a one shot deal at getting it right (otherwise it will be very expensive to do it right). 8"-10" is correct for some areas but not all. I would call the county building and permitting office for an area specific number, spacing, and screw size pattern.

1 every 8-10".
