Fancy goldfish get about 6-8 inches long but can get longer. Shubunkin and sarasa goldfish get about 12 inches long. Commons and comets get 12-18 inches long. Koi get 36+ inches long. They will grow faster in large ponds than in aquaria.
it depends on the size tank you have and often how many fish you have in that tank. Goldfish are typically estimated to live anywhere from three months to three years, my goldfish literally died this morning at 8+years old. he was about three inches long but had three other fish in a ten gallon. A friend hada gold fish that was 7 years old and almost 8inches long but he was the only fish in a ten gallon so it really depends on care, space, and feeding
