How many people do you think answer questions without the use of Wiki or other sites?

Just wondering how many copying and pasting is going on that's all LOL

I have only looked up answers a couple of times. Everthing else comes straight from my gray matter and types into the computer :) I would say probably like 30% of people are looking up answers.

If I don't know it, I don't answer it at all, but I will look it up to add to my gray matter for future knowledge.

I'd say I fact check 1/2 my answers and use quotes from legitimate sources a third of the time.

Not me. I'm way too lazy. I'd rather answer a question wrong with "THROW FIRE!" Than look up an answer.

I'll sometimes access dictionary.com or reputable medical sites (Mayo Clinic, Pub Med, Johns Hopkins, NIH) for very specific questions. But most of it comes out of my head - which could be good or maybe not!

Yea, if it's not medical, astronomical, or just some general crap that I've picked up then I'm no good. Anything but tech geek questions.

I think it all depends on the questions thats being asked, cuz some questions are simple, and some you have to use wiki, so you can answer that persons question

It does depend. If you really need to help someone like some kid doing homework, then they might not be able to get it together so translation is just fine after going to Wiki LOL

You can tell when somebody is copying and pasting because people don't talk like that ... plus they usually end with "read more at ..." then they put a link on there for you.

I think most of us (I do anyway) just answer off the top of their head. But sometimes I'll doublecheck, just to make sure.

That's me too. I have waaaaay too much time on my hands and I have no idea where i get most of this from, besides college, but ask me and you might receive. I just get off on knowledge and that's not all that popular unless you're on here that is.
