Why did cleopatra
become pharaoh

Report as

Perhaps, it is because Egyptian women were uniquely accepted as capable of holding office and handling affairs and also because she was older and more intelligent than her brother, Pharaoh Ptolemy XIII. Cleopatra was also a danger to power held by Ptolemy's advisers. It can also be since her brother was pharaoh and she was queen, she definitely became pharaoh after he died.
