Community in an ecosystem definition: where the population and species all become one.

My science teacher marked me wrong on this answer in our ecosystem test. I tried to define "community." I am convinced I should have got a least a half mark. Tell me if I was right or if he was. Thank-you!

I think you should have simply defined it this way, that a community is the set of all populations that inhabit a certain ecosystem. Use the following link for more information. http://www2.estrellamountain.edu/faculty/farabee/biobk/biobookcommecosys.html.
