They either tell you or show you with phone calls, texts, gifts.... Etc. Just to let you know there thinking of you !

When they text you call you etc a lot that's what i did to my friends Edwin i would call him and text him all the time because i secretly liked him haha but later he asked me out so you know i stopped after that :D

Having spent a great deal of time away from my wife, any contact with her was key. When able, I called daily, wrote daily. Every day I let her know how much I loved her, & missed her. I set it up a schedule ahead of time with a florist so that every Friday she received flowers & written notes. I set up "dates" with her girl friends, to make sure she was okay and getting out of the house. Any RR available, I went home, anything to say I miss you

One sign that someone misses you is they are excited to see you or gives you a hug. Or a child may act sad when they see you cause they miss you.

They usually let you know through verbal or physical actions.

It mostly depends on the person, but they might act more sad or depressed than usual, and you can also tell by the way that they may look at you, how they start acting, and the tone in their voice.
