how can I forget about a girl I love. I can't take the pain anymore. It's been 2 years I'm depressed because of it

I feel you I still haven't gotten over a girl and it's been 4 years, I don't know her anymore I only catch glimpses of her, now & then, she's moved on and still I can't go a day without looking for her in a crowd, but it's only cus it's what I let myself become use to, thinking about her and not moving on is what I'm comfortable with, I can't take the cold fact of reality, that I have to let go, you'll find someone better that you'll appreciate more, for me my first love was what shaped me and how I give love, she was just a stepping stone to improve myself and learn, now I know how to love and if ever I need to, I know how to move on:)

are you a female? it's hard but you just have to move on somehow. Try finding activities to participate in and remain close to family for support.

I know it's hard but you have to decide to move on. As hard as it is to believe this will get better. Once you live a good while you realize that all things pass.
If you want to move on you have to decide that you are going to do that.

With all due respect, I think thats where you have a problem. It's not about forgetting. You don't have to forget, you just have to move on.
This is much like a death. You must grieve your lost. While you do that you do your best to move on a bit more each day. It will take time but finally when you remember you will remember the good things and this pain will be a very distant memory. See these things must be walked through, not around. In the end you will be wiser and believe it or not, happier for the experience.

I'm sorry dude but do u still talk to her or see her anywhere? or when was the last time u sow her? If u still see her u need to stop being in contact with her if u want to get over her but if u haven't seeing her or talk to her in a long time and u still think of her all the time then u have to keep Urself busy I'm going through the same thing and that's how I do it

The first step that you should take to forget about that girl is to accept the fact that she is no longer coming back to you. You should stop living in the past and make a decision to live in the present. You are the only person who can help yourself and that will happen when you are ready to face the reality.
