My friend is running in the Boston Marathon. How can i convince him not to.

The normal temp this time is about 62 degrees, perfect for running/jogging. The temp tomorrow will be 90+. That's just dangerous.

If your friend is a seasoned runner, do not worry, he/she knows his/her limits.
There are many health groups ready to treat those in need, but most will not be trying to break any records. Unless your friend has a health issue, you probably won't convince him/her to cool it.
Hi Ricci...long time no see:) The start line is not far from my town..Don't worry, these runners know what is going on with the weather...

Keep him hydrated because your muscles will break down if not. Your body needs water to survive. It's in everything from our brain, muscles, and our blood, as well as other places. But at 90 degrees, he's going to need plenty of water to keep his muscles from literally breaking down from severe dehydration. I hope this helps

He will be fine. I am from Florida and people here run/jog in higher temperatures. It isn't dangerous at all. There are marathons here too.

That's not a dangerous temp, although hydration is key. Texas and Arizona have higher 100+ temps and still have marathons where people run/jog. Stay well hydrated and they will be fine especially if they are a seasoned vet at it.

Aww heck, let him run! Your typical seasoned runner would rather die running than be stuck in a hospital bed!

I don't know. All I know is that he might get light headed. But let him run. Make sure he/she bring freezing cold water. If you go, which you probable are, when he/she is done running, go down to him/her and help him/her walk and get him/her to drink lots and lots of water if he/she feels light headed. :)
