Is there anyway around using birth control? (Ladies only please personal)

I'm really getting kind of tired of having to keep up with birth control pills and they effect my hormones. Condoms make it not as satisfying. The other methods aren't as effective. I always fail with natural planning my drive gets too strong and I need it. Abstinence isn't an option I could never do it but I still need to make sure I don't get pregnant right now. Help ladies!

Sunshine555, there are only 2 other alternatives,,,, 1 is to have your "tubes tied", a surgical procedure which seals the fallopian tubes so that eggs can not be released into the womb. and 2 is if you have a single partner you plan on being with for the rest of your life HE can get a vasectomy, which is also a surgical procedure which cuts the duct that sperm travel down. Men are often reluctant to do this, even though it is much simpler and MUCH less dangerous procedure for them. (often can be done outpatient with a local anesthetic )

there is more ways then these two. Just because people have sex doesn't meant they have to have a baby!

There is a little flexible ring that the doctor can put in your vagina, I forget what it's called, but I read it recently in a magazine, and it is birth control that you do not have to change for months at a time. It is also tiny and you cant even feel it! Talk to your doctor!

If your not wanting to get pregnant now or in the future there is Essure(places a coil inside your Fallopian tubes). It's a small procedure that can be done in your GYN office through your vagina. Besides taking the pill there is the patch, shot, Femring or IUD that can also be used.

The nuva ring is a clear ring you insert in, and leave it for about 3 weeks. You can remove it very easily just before intercourse then just reinsert it. It has a low hormone level that is slowly released over the 3 weeks. It worked best for me as birth control because of the low dose and I loved not having to remember pills or shots.

An IUD like Mirena may be your best option.

There is a IUD on the market now that is hormone free called paragaurd. It's copper and it's just as effective as the other BC's out there. I had an IUD and I loved it. I would recommend it to anyone.
