How do you get in the U.S. Marines?

I was wondering if i join the Marines when I grow up where do I start?

Hi Taekwondokidd.. it isn't all that hard to get into any branch of the Military as long as you are healthy and fit (and sometimes you don't have to be fit, it's just a good idea as the physical training will be easier). You can start off by seeing if there are chapters of the Young Marines in your town. Though this isn't really necessary to join. But when you turn 18 you just look online or in the phone book for your nearest Marine Recruiting Office (most decent sized towns have one) and go sign up :) After that is just a matter of being able to pass Basic Training and do what they tell you to do, you can choose a specialty if you like and if they feel you are qualified you will get it.... if not they will choose an area for you

OK. I'll keep that in mind. Because I've been thinking to join for years. And hopefully I'll keeping thinking about it and join. The only problem is my mom.
