Rainbow IS the used to represent the gay community, but liking rainbows does NOT make you gay. They are just teasing you and being siblings. Don't listen to them, just because you like rainbows doesn't make you gay. It just means you are a very colorful person. Plus being gay is nothing to be ashamed of in the first place.

Therefore, when we see a rainbow, we are to remember His promise of eternal life. Many people love rainbows for the bright colors. Be strong when they tease you because you know who you are and if they really care about you, they won't care one way or another.

The only sign of being gay is if you try to BE the other gender,

Rainbow is the sign for gays, so it is the "color" for gay pride. however if you like rainbows it does not mean you are gay. If you are drawn to rainbows it does not mean you are gay. And if you are gay it doesn't mean you will like rainbows, but Rainbow IS the "color" for gay pride, i think that is what they were referring to.
Something to keep in mind, rainbows are often used as symbols for anything where they are striving for a sense of unity between many different things. This can be within the Gay community, differing cultures, races, etc... However liking rainbows (don't we all), doesn't mean that you automatically like or support any of those causes.

Rainbows have somthing to do with the suns light rays and the moisture in the air although due to the various bright colors rainbows have been chosen as the representing colors for gay pride or homosexuality. but it doesnt mean you are gay.
If you think that gay means happy like me, then its nothing to worry about, you could just think thank you 'cause that would mean "happiness". If you think it means something mean than you can just ignore that or tell your parents that because you think their being mean.(by the way my music teacher said it means "happy")
