Will multitasking on 8gb iPod touch 3rd generation ever come out?

If it's a 3rd generation it can multitask already...if it was bought before the release of the iPod touch 4 and it is 8 gig then it is probably 2nd gen...2nd gen will never be able to support multitasking

On iTunes it says that 3rd gen iPod touch comes in 8gb, 32gb, and 64gb but says that only 32 and 64 can only multitask so far

Ok then I guess it is 3rd gen but idk why it shouldn't be able to multitask! Even if it is 8 gb...sorry can't help u there :\
