In Elgin Illinois, do they get so much snow that even 4wd will not get you to work? How deep on average? Are freeways a mess or closed?

Elgin Illinois gets so much snow that even a 4wd will not get you to work but we are not told the depth. If you have a larger vehicle that can be equipped with a plow, you can purchase one and enjoy it every winter or hire South Elgin Illinois Snow Plowing services.
