How come I can not spank my child when they act up, but a cop can tackle,cuff,lockup,shock,pepper spray even shoot our children?

Side Question: Are you capable of waking up?

A little smack on the butt never killed any kid. Abuse by cops is wrong, but sometimes there are situations that need to be controlled with force. Sad, but true. Some kids are out of control. Some cops are out of control. Parents need to be disciplining their kids and not pacifying them with electronic distractions. That's why they are tuning out of society. They don't talk, they text. It's ok if not excessive.

The law permits police to use whichever means or force to maintain the public peace. However as a parent you are allowed to use any other form of discipline but not caning as it is considered a form of child abuse.

Your question is a bit vague. Where is this all happening to our "children". The incidents I have read about lately involved two school kids that were destroying their classrooms and throwing things at the teachers. Their screaming tantrums could only be controlled with force. No child is just "locked up". They are not kept in cells. Please back up broad statements with a bit of fact or it is just unsubstantiated rumor.
