I eat mangoes in a different way. I cut the mango into three separate slices, the middle being the core and the other two sides being in two cup-like shapes. Then, you can do it three different ways from this point. 1. Simply grab a spoon and gently scoop out the mango and eat it like that (my personal favorite) 2. Cut vertical and horizontal lines across the fruit part and scoop it with a spoon to eat it 3. Cut vertical and horizontal lines across the fruit part and then reverse the way the bump on the skin is (I probably did not word that correctly) then simply bite it out Theses are not the most common ways for people to eat mangoes, but it seems MUCH EASIER to use a spoon or use the skin as your "bowl" instead of peeling off the skin and risking biting into the core before you know it. Note: My grandmother used to peel the skin off the middle part (that was cut) and then eating the mango around the core. This is a way not to waste any of the mango.
