I think The Hunger Games was a really fun book and I haven't heard of anyone who didn't enjoy it. But I would suggest that you first take a look at an online plot summary to see if it intrigues you. no i can tell it sucks by just looking at the front cover. it's all about a pooping bird. there's a bird in the middle of the picture and you see it pooping. See, the lines is falling poop and the circles are the exploding poop. They are all fighting for a pooping bird. it's all about the front cover. it always is. look at harry potter. you see the deathly hallows cover and it's beast. it shows harry stretching out his arm to catch something, and his mouth is open and in the background there's a bunch of people watching him. that's why i was eager to read it. and you see a pooping bird in the hunger games.
i read the first 7 pages and literally fell asleep, I woke up in my closet
I've only recently started the series and I like it. A lot of controversy is circulating around them though. If you don't want to know how bad the government treats people, how those same people have to survive, or you don't like books where kids kill each other to survive, don't read it. It's a great book and it makes you think and look at things differently.
