Are bed bugs contagious

Report as

If a person has bedbugs and another person comes to see them, borrow something from them, etc. Then yes, they can get bedbugs too. Watch out, and don't visit people with bedbugs or borrow anything from them. If you have bedbugs, do not visit other people or let them borrow your things, because the bedbugs will go to them. Bedbugs are VERY hard to get rid of. The sprays, the bombs, it's a lot of work, so don't expect it to be a "not so bad" thing. They also suck your blood and cause three bite marks.

Bed bugs are not contagious; they are insects and not an illness. Bed bug infestations can spread from place to place easily and by many methods. These methods include clothing, luggage as well as second hand furniture. Read more on http://www.ehow.com/facts_7246863_bed-bugs-contagious_.html.

If someone has bed bugs and other people spent a month there with the infected persons place and this person decides to return home will a hot shower help get rid of them. Also the clothes that this person is wearing will be put in a sealed bag til washing them, will this be ok and will the bed bugs still spread.
