To quit smoking, give yourself a reason or purpose for stopping. Write down the reasons on a paper and carry it around to remind yourself of why you want to stop. Have a family member or close friend sign an agreement with you to help keep you in check. Change your schedule to avoid circumstances in which you usually smoke. Carry around mouth toys such as straws, carrot sticks, candy and gums so as to chew when the urge comes.
To stop smoking, you need to throw your cigarettes away. Make a family member hide your wallet. They can also take the keys to your car so you don't buy any more cigarettes. I tried many, many times to quit. What finally worked for me was ECigs. I used them for about 3 1/2 months. That gave me what I needed to quit. It was still hard but this time it worked. It's been about 16 months since I've used anything.
In order to successfully quit smoking you and the key word is you have to want and desire to quit ! Good luck, it's not and easy road but with the willpower and encouragement it will become easier with time and also you will see and feel so many improvements on your health in just a day.
What you need to do is convince yourself by just searching the bad thing in a cig like nail polish and so on and find out how much you waste in one year I learned this all in one day at school also use the money that you would use on cig for something that will help you in a good way and also carry stuff that are safe to put in your mouth when you fell the need to smoke like chew toys gum or something you can put in between your fingers to act like it is a cig
Get rid of all you cigarette, and every time you have a craving for a cigarette, eat a carrot, if you don't like carrots find something else that is heathy for you and use that. PS this actually works, it helped my teacher quit smoking. Also I am glad that you want to stop smoking, smoking it terrible for your lungs and your body. I quit smok'en. started off halfing my cigs. bought a blue elec. cig. vaporized nicotine. Asked Jesus to come to my rescue. Both my grand parents died last month. Grandpa got CANSER in his lungs.(smoked till his last breath).Grandma followed him home!! GoodLuck!! All things are possible when you ask CHRIST JESUS !!!
I never, ever wanted anyone else to be a part of my stop smoking efforts (and I had quite a few). If I could not stop, I didn't want anyone bugging me about it; I did very well being my own critic. Then, several years ago I used a product called Zyban (which was in pill form). The directions suggested that you choose a date somewhere inbetween the first day of taking the pill to two weeks out. I didn't even get to my quit date before I quit. Believe me, I was hard core; not so much on how many cigarettes I smoked but the additiction was so powerful. I am so grateful for that product, but then I realize that I had a lot to do with it, too. I was so proud of myself. I truly hope you are successful.
