It can especially if you are lacking. Having said that I agree with checking with a dr for blood work to check for specific deficiencies. Certain deficiencies cause different symptoms. I can't take iron which may or may not be in a multi vitamin but I was extremely low on vitamin d and magnesium and feel much better now that's mag is back in the normal range. I'm still working on getting the d up. It is not good to take huge doses unless you have had it checked and need it. It is also not going to help much if you need a lot more of something and don't take enough. A daily multi vitamin prob won't hurt anyone but may not help a lot if you are really low on one or two.

Its one of those things where there may not be any real proof that it makes you feel any better, but in the long run its better to take the vitamin than not to take the vitamin. I've been taking them for years.
They can make up for a deficiency but there is something called the placebo effect. You feel better because you think you will feel better and doing something to make yourself healthier makes you feel better.
