Can a parole officer be sued.
PO can violate a parolee for tech violation. (curfew, dirty urine, police contact, even though no new crime was committed). Can the PO be sued for violating one parolee for say a their first time violation of curfew. In the meantime not violating another for multiple curfews violations and say 4 failed urine test. It is clear that the P.O. is not being fair. There must be some standard for this? States don't even want a parolee sent back for tech violations due to the high cost resulting from what isn't even a crime. Anyone have any knowledge on this topic? Any links to good info will be greatly appreciated.
