On the Job application, where it says "ever convicted of a felony", write "willing to discuss" and you may get further than just putting yes in this area. Also be honest about your conviction and tell them how it has made you a more responsible person, honesty is the best policy.

If you have a felony in your background, it is unlikely that you will get a good paying job. I suggest that you start your own business instead.

Consult with a lawyer (consultations are free) and see if you can get it expunged off your record.
I know several people that have done this. It also depends on the severity of the charge.

You will most likely have to start at a lower paying job and get some seniority behind you until you can work to a better paying job. Unfortunately this is perhaps one of the unintended consequences of committing a felony .

Felony record? Your an idiot. You obviously can't play with others. Get a job digging ditches, scum bag.

Bertfls, don't sugar-coat your answer like this. Tell it straight!
I have to admit that I have never met anyone who would hire a felon under any circumstances. I knew of one employer who fired a good employee on the same day the employee bragged to young women at work that he had a record (trying out the bad-boy approach). The person lied on his application which is grounds for dismisal.
