What is the difference between a stinger and burner? (sports injury)

I have had one in football and I hear some say 'stinger' and others 'burners'. I just want to know if there are any differences.

There is no difference between a burner and a stinger, a burner is also called a stinger. A burner or stinger is a nerve injury that is caused by a trauma to the neck and shoulder during sports participation. When they occur, they cause prolonged weakness on the shoulders.
