The difference between a composite and an aluminum bat is that unlike aluminum bats, which are purely metal and generally have a hollow interior, composite bats have a woven graphite barrel core around which aluminum is wrapped. However, both bat styles have a metal exterior. You can get more information at the www.livestrong.com/article/350456-composite-bats-vs-aluminum-bats/ website.
