Why do people think it's easy to publish a book?

I accidentally wrote "write" instead of publish in my last question, but I'm doing a rant about this in school.

People think it's easy to publish a book because many just publish books using eBook in less than an hour without spending a penny. It's the simplest thing a writer can do by turning them into eBooks. I can also advise you to try that.
