No, God call you not them to lead his flock. It is a special anointing place on you by Almighty God. We as Christian all came out of the world, and saved by the hand of the Almighty with a special calling . All to build up the Church, the body of JESUS CHRIST. Fulfill your calling my friend.
No that's not so because each individual is responsible for there own sins. Ezekiel 18:4 God says "Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.(Kjv) So as we can see from the word of God that every one will have to give a account of there own actions on the day of judgment. The believer will give a account at the judgment seat of Christ and the none believer at the great white throne of judgment Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 say; Let us hear the conclusion of the the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. (14) For God shall bring every work in to judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or evil. ((2Corinthians 5:10)- believers judgment: (Revelation 20:11-15)- unbeliever's judgment: Now if you don't want the latter judgment follow the instructions found in ((((((((((((Romans 10:9-10)))))))))). THAT IF THOU SHALT CONFESS WITH THY MOUTH THE LORD JESUS, AND SHALT BELIEVE IN THINE HEART THAT GOD HATH RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, THOU SHALT BE SAVED.
No. I don't think you HAVE to. It's not within your control whether your son is gay or not. Trust me, it's not something me and other gay people pick to be. If you quit being a pastor, that will just put pressure on your son to "recloset" himself. He might try to hide that he's gay. It's really horrid being closeted, and being pressured into recloseting himself would be very bad for him. Stay a pastor, I only suggest to warn your son not to bring another guy with him to church, depending on how accepting your church is.
It depends on the denomination. Some don't even allow priests to have children or wives. Others require them to maintain their family (an impossible task, which is why others prohibit it) before they can maintain the Church. Some allow priests to be homosexual themselves, so their kids wouldn't affect it any differently.
This is just a way for the church to hide behind its bigotry and arrogance. The bible also says not to wear mixed fabrics and that women who are not virgins on their wedding night should be stones. This would be an example of picking and choosing those passages that perpetuate ones own hatred.
Don't ask the pastor to leave. Its not his fault that his son is gay. That's like saying we should punish the parents of murderers when really they have nothing to do with it. (for the record I am not saying being gay is like murder this is just an example)
