I'm 16 and my boyfriend is 18 and he got arrested for having sex with me (statutory rape) because I'm a minor. What's the punishment for him

me and my boyfriend had sex and the next day he calls me and says he's in jail for statutory rape. he has court next week. why could the punishments toward him be?

15 years in jail
$500,000 fine i believe...
