If you feel that you are excessively overweight, you should eat much less and when you eat, it should be healthy food. Choose a garden salad over a double cheeseburger. Next, you should exercise. Run, swim laps, go to the gym, DO NOT just sit home and watch tv all day. Junk food is okay to eat, but in moderation only. Like just one Oreo instead of the whole box. Try to look for foods with zero trans fats and low sodium. Also, count your calories. There is a great app on the iPhone/iPod touch/iPad called Lose It. This app tells you how many calories your body should consume per day and will dock the foods you've eaten that day. Don't ever try surgeries like the LapBand. In all, eat less and exercise more would be great and you should see some changes and maybe have a fit and healthy body soon. Good luck! :)
There's really no mystery here -- if you expend more calories than you take in, you'll lose weight. Eat a healthful, well-balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, low-fat dairy. Drink lots of water. Cut out all the soda pop, cut way back on sugars and fats. Monitor portion sizes. Exercise most days of the week for at least 30 minutes each time. Get sufficient sleep. All of these things add up to a healthy lifestyle and can help you lose weight slowly and then keep it off.
Jillian Michael's Biggest Loser Workout is great, that is, if you can stand to really work out. Orherwise, to make it fun, you could try Zumba. It's like dancing vigorously and burns up the calories. Always check with your doctor about these first and/or always follow his/her directions, especially if you are very overweight and/or have other health issues.
