Do tadpoles bury themselves in the mud when its cold? And if it snows should i take the tadpoles inside?

I had about 3000 tadpoles at different stages in my mud puddle in my driveway. It has been very cold lately and is almost ready to snow. I went to look at them and they were gone. My mom said they can bury themselves in the mud like fish. The weather has really been out of whack this year.

Well, many tadpoles live in ponds. I recommend that you buy a tank for them. I bought a nice tank at Petco with a filter and everything! There actually half off now. Anyway, you could also give them sunlight every now and then, but Idk if they burry themselves in mud. also, adjust them into warm water when there cold. Thanks for asking!

It is true that tadpoles burry themselves in the mud when it's extremely cold to ensure that their bodies get the conducive temperature. Consult a vet or a pet store attendant to determine how you can take care of them when it's snowy.
