What are the differenceS between a militia, a military, and a paramilitary?

I think this Question doesn't need any additional information, what are the differences that separate the Militia, Military, and Paramilitary?

A militia is a group of citizens that are registered in military service for emergencies only and military is an organization that is authorized to use weapons in order to defend its country. Whereas, paramilitary is a group of civilians that are organized to assist the regular army troops.

Military = Army
Paramilitary = group of civilians "playing" army
