Is there a way to backup apps (online, or an app?) without a computer?

As of June 6, when you go to your app store app & view your updates, there is a circular arrow at the top with the word purchased in it. When you tap on it, any apps purchased on your iTunes account will be listed, even if they are not currently installed on your device. This is the little piece of the icloud technology Apple has made available, until iOS 5 becomes available this fall.

I find that hard to believe, for one I know you can if your device is jailbroken..... I think you mean to say not that you know of.
