Report as

There's a product called "Natures miracle" found at "Pet Food Express"
Stores. It's a spray that eliminates all pet urine smells and stains.

I've worked in a kennel for 10 years and I own both cats and dogs and I use Natures Miracle myself. It works great on cat urine in carpet and they even have products that get rid of skunk smell. I have even used Natures Miracle on my couch cushions and in the wash. It's true that ammonia will do the job but I don't know about you but I hate the smell of ammonia. Natures Miracle doesn't have a harsh smell and you can just saturate your carpet and wait for it to dry and the smell is gone. There's not much work involved. Also another product that I discovered that works really well at removing stains and odor is Woolite Oxy Power Shot. I have white carpet so every little stain is visible. This stuff is great for quick spot treatments it completely removes the stain and the odor even old set in stains.

I've never tried this mixture and I don't know if it works or not but I wouldn't suggest mixing household cleaners. Mixing Pine-Sol and Downey may work, I don't know but I would suggest playing it safe and finding only one product that works. I know that some household cleaners when combined can be very dangerous and emit toxic fumes that aren't safe for you or the environment.

You can use products that are easily found at home such as vinegar and baking soda, peroxide and Listerine mouthwash to remove pet urine smell. It will take a few wipes for it to completely disappear. There is another simple procedure that you can follow from http://www.dogchatforum.com/dog_urine_odor.htm that helps a lot.
