I am stressed. What should I do?

thanks I really appreciate the help, I have a lot of things going on right now so I really appreciate your time and effort for helping me!

hey, the same thing happens to me. what I do is just step back and think about all the good i've done with my life thus far and what I will continue to bring to my family, friends, and random people around me. if it gets to be too much drop an activity or two so that you have more time during the day! it's times like these that you need to rely on your family.

Go for a walk & get away from everybody. Buy yourself something. Go to a movie by yourself. Eat popcorn until your sick.

Stress is just your body's way of sending you the energy you need to deal with difficult situations. I try re-naming my stress by telling myself I just have too much energy right, now. Then I try to use that energy by doing any of the above suggestions.

write your feeling out on a piece of paper and then rip it up or draw how you feel...this is what i do when im stressed or i just drop everything im doing for a while and go lay down and watch a movie..hope this advice works for you!

spend a weekend with friends with all of your electronics off and just worry about what you and your friends are going to do next, go to the spa or mall or something but just get away from society and focus on having a peaceful day with your friends and just try to relax.

all that i do is get out of the house and either go for a bike ride or for a walk that's all i do

Get off the computer and get outside! Exercise. Quit eating fast food and processed food... eat real food. Juice. Sit in the sun (without lathering yourself with toxic sunscrean). Get off all unnecessary meds. Go visit your friends. Listen to some music. Have a glass of wine. Get a pet. Realize that YOU are in control of your life no matter what people say!!

Spend some time with a pet and do something to relieve the stress-like spending some real, good time working on the task that might be stressing you.But don't get too hung up on it-there is only so much that yo can do. Have some fun, too-it'll take your mind away from your stressor.Also, go outside!!!

keep smiling even if you are not happy and take a nice hot shower put on really nice fancy cloths and go to a nice restraint with a friend!

Moderately exercise. You can also eat rice cakes! It helps release a hormone called serotonin that relieves stress.

If I were you, I would walk in your backyard and look up at the sky. Think of all the things that are stressing you out, that are fighting for your time. Then, while thinking about this scream or yell as loud as loud as you can:
"YOU DON'T OWN ME!"
Or anything you want. Then, silence your electronics and watch a funny movie. That way you don't spend so much time releiving stress that it stresses you out more, but it still helps.

When I'm stressed I just take a step back from what I'm doing, and relax. Do whatever relaxes you. I've heard yoga helps :)

You should watch out for what you do because if you have a lot of work you can get really stressed..... You should get massages and stuff like that......

This is my specialty. What you need to do is set boundaries for the stress in your life. Yes to deals that are win/win, and no to deals that you lose out on, and the other wins. Stress gets at you as anxiety or anger, through holes in your boundary and the only way handle it is patch the holes by deciding yes or no to the deals youre getting. and to replenish your happiness, is to assert yourself when youre angry, and be courageous (do the right thing),when youre anxious. You get your well being and confidence that way...thus happiness,...and self esteem. Everyone gave you coping techniques... I gave you a way to solve them. stress is another word for emotional suffering, or issues... now you know how to handle yourself. remember, anything that you cant control is a waste of emotional energy cause its outside your boundary..anything inside your boundary is 100% in your control. you cant control the future by worrying, which feeds anxiety....and you cant control the past...nor can you control another person, and anything else that you obviously cant control. freedom, time, and love are your internal resources. be constructive spending them..

Be alone. Dont worry about any one else but yourself. Paint, bike riding , writing , reading , sports , or any relaxing spot . Be alone and express your feeling through painting , writing , or even hitting a pillow ;)

Just forget about everything that's making you stressed the night before you go to sleep.
After that, play a relaxing game by yourself, or read and get lost in a different world. That always helps me. :)

Read, walk, swim, bathe... Watch TV. Do something where you don't have to be involved. On the computer you have to click a button every few minutes... So just relax

Try some aromatherapy with essential oils. Check out http://www.essentialoildetails.com/. For relaxation, my favorite oils are lavender and sandalwood. Steer clear of peppermint as it has the tendency to wake you up, rather than calm you.
