Ok check this out. No paint thinner. Look at the finish. If it has bubbles in it your screwed. If he added retarder to it your fine. The retarder is basically the same thing for poly and it actually helps it finish better. They make all kinds of thinners for good reason. Because you need them. If he only added a pint I doubt he was trying to rip you off. I just wouldn't save him that much money. So basically if it looks good then he knew what he was doing and go with it.

I would be concerned for sure. If this is a guy payed to do his job it sounds like he's being shady. It's supposed to protect and put the shine on your floor. If he put paint thinner in it there is no way it will work the same or last as long. Maybe he was running out so he mixed to make it cover more of the floor? I would call the company or the guy and get this taken care of. Good luck!!!

It is an artificial or synthetic resin in which the polymer units used to formulate tough varnishes. If you diluted so much, it will affect the strength of adhesion and also it won't give the golden color touch.
