Can you still have a baby even if you have for example: herpes, HIV, or any other sickness that doesn't go away?

I'm not pregnant or nothing but this question popped in my head

Yes you can. In the case of an HIV positive mother it is common for the infant to show positive signs of HIV, however, seroconversion is possible. In essence it means that soon after birth the child will go from a positive status to a negative HIV status. In cases of herpes, depending on whether there are herpetic lesions present or the possibility of a current outbreak, a c- section may be necessary.

i will buy that --- but are you saying --- No babies born with Aides in their blood ends up with Aides ?

If you reread my answers you will see that I did not. Just as an accuracy note- it is A. I. D. S. This is an acronym not the name of the disease.

It is possible to have a baby if you have herpes or HIV, but first you should consult with your doctor for more advice on the steps to take. Infants can get HIV from an HIV-positive mother during pregnancy, at birth or also through breastfeeding.

Yes you could very well end up pregnant and have a child the child however could be born with the disease there are though certain ways doctors try to prevent this if somebody really wants to have a healthy child

If you have herpes outbreak in labor the baby will be delivered via C-section to avoid exposing baby coming through the birth canal. Precautions are taken for HIV patients as well.
