OK is this true? was it easier to find a job say 30yrs ago then it is now?

First, workers 30 years ago had less competition. Second, workers took any jobs they could get without complaining.Life was simpler then.
Today, college grads are looking for choice jobs to help them pay off student loans and, for them to enjoy the good life.The good life is pretty expensive.
More women are in the work force now, so jobs are getting harder to find for the bread winner. Which ever the bread winner's sex is..

Yes it was easier than now. Nowadays there is the global scrabble for jobs and the use of technology which was not there in the previous years to reduce the work loads. There is also competition from colleagues who at times have a high resume than you, and rural-urban migration which have seen many people in the city.

Yes, many corporations got sent overseas so the fat CEO's could make millions while leaving Americans without jobs. Guess which political party is behind thSt one?

Why would you leave America ? To make money. Why do you go to another country because the regulations in the U.S. are not conducive for business.

Thirty years ago I stood in line with over200 men in the rain trying to get hired at a local foundry . They only had 5 job openings . The jobs back then were hard work jobs now everyone wants to sit at a computer .

Yes it was easier to get hired back then but most the jobs were hard labor
