What should I do?

My boyfriend is Catholic and I am Christian. He always talks about marriage and kids but doesn't want to change his religion. I love him a lot and I want to ease him into being converted but I don't know how. What should I do?

There may be some differences in what you believe. Is he a devout Catholic? If you are really concerned, you should to to counseling together and work through some of the major issues you and he feel concerned with. It can help to see actually how compatable you are together, in more areas just religion, and how you deal with stress and pressures,an resolve conflict. Learning those things can help you together in the long run and/or also decide if you really should marry.

You could always just marry in your church. You both have the foundation of Jesus as your Savior so that's more than a lot of people have. Just remember you can't change him only God can. Pray, pray, pray. :-)

A Catholic can be a Christian. Lala0922 is correct in that you both have the same foundation to your faith. But if you go into marriage thinking that you'll change him (in this way or any other), you're setting yourself up for problems. Talk this through now, with the help of your respective clergy.

You should ask yourself: "Why is it that I think it's so important to convert him in the first place?". You're both Christians anyway, so I don't see where the real conflict is. My daughter is Christian and I'm an atheist and I don't let this affect our relationship. My wife is a theist (of some sort) and this doesn't affect me at all, as this is something only she can decide. You should consider that a person's religion is up to them, not you.

It's a scientist job. I'm going to be a lab manager for a professor. It's like I'm a boss for all the undergrads and graduates working in the lab and have to oversee/coordinate their activity. It's a bit of a challenge, but I'm up for it.

I started almost a month ago actually. Lol. This was a rough month: finishing one job and starting another simultaneously.
No luck so far on the insurance thing, but I think there's still hope.

Catholic is a variation of Christianity, you would be changing his religion, in fact if you became a catholic you would still be Christian... It's kind of like fords are a type of car
