It depends on what you want to be or achieve. Marines are usually the first ones to go in during a war. All branches require you to be physically and mentally fit. I could be wrong but I believe the marines require a bit more in these areas.
There are no good reasons for joining the Marines, or any other branch of the service, unless, of course, you enjoy killing people and being killed, living life with missing body parts, and suffering PTSD. Go to the Veterans for Peace website to learn more. And, yes, I'm a vet.
you might as well flip a coin....it all depends on what you want from your time in the service....having served myself I have seen both the good and bad involved and no one branch is ' better ' than the other....all are honorable
Allthough every individual's experience varies from my experience I prefer the Regular Army over the Marines there are more jobs to choose from which gives you more opportunity as a civilian unless of course you want to make the military a career then i would go Marine's which are more disciplined and have a stronger brother hood if you have college and want to be privileged, Travel, and eat good go Air force or Navy.
