Question about ear gauges... PLEASE READ... if you can help.
About two weeks ago I gauged up from a 4 to a 2. I tried a week later to go to a 0, but I couldn't. So, two days ago I was finally able to get a 0 into one ear, but I had to wait on the other one because the pain was so awful. Yesterday I got the other in, and the pain, once again, was so horrible that I had to lie down for the rest of the day and night. They were still sore and a bit swollen today when I went to school and when I got home, but I was able to twist them around. I took a shower and cleaned the outer parts of the piercings, and all this scabby residue came off, but I figured it was normal and that they had torn a little bit (which my friend said was practically unavoidable when going from a 2 to 0). I got a little paranoid and decided to try a salt cleaning on them. I took out one and was horrified to see that it looked like someone had taken a chainsaw to the inside of my earlobe. I cleaned it up and put the saltwater on it, but I never saw any pus come out of it. Once I was done I put the taper back in (it was quite painful but not as bad as the first time). It was very swollen, and still is right now, but it doesn't hurt unless I touch it. Should I keep the 0's in and let them heal themselves... or should I take them out? This isn't the first time I've slightly ripped my earlobes, and they healed up just fine before... but I'm not really sure about this time. I really don't want to have to take them out, but if I have to I have to... THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ANYONE WHO TRIES TO HELP ME OUT.
