Do you really need to lose weight? There are charts listing age, height, and gender that will give you your ideal weight. Google "weight chart." Too much citrus can cause problems with your kidneys. Your body needs a well balanced diet. Get active - exercise. Cut out the fried foods, excessive carbohydrates, and limit the sweets. You need protein (meats) for your muscles. Add in some vegetables, fruit and wheat bread and pay attention to the size of the portions of each that you eat. Example: 4 oz meat, 1/2 cup of two different vegetables, 1 slice wheat bread (optional), and a piece of fruit. Eating the fruit (3 times a day) will keep you from craving something sweet. Losing weight slowly is better than losing it fast. You don't want the foods you eat to signal your body that it needs to hang on to what it's got, so eat a nutritionally balanced meal. Check into Weight Watchers. It will teach you a lot.
Eating fruit in moderation is great, fruit contains natural sugar, it will maintain weight, or make you gain. Now if you are obese and on a diet of junk food switching to fruit will drop the weight but in the average person it won't make a huge difference. A diet of just fruit is not healthy. A well rounded diet including fruit and exercise will keep the weight down.
You need to eat a balanced diet or you will be malnourished even if you are overweight. Also, you will be be losing muscle as well as fat which in the way you are doing it, is not good, because your body needs protein to keep your muscle, and although you can lose SOME muscle when dieting, especially if you don't exercise to build up your muscles, you will lose a great deal of your muscle over time. A calorie range of no less than 1200 with a balanced diet and some exercise will bring you the best results. Fad diets will deplete your body of much needed nutrients and you will end up gaining back even more weight.
